Pitstop: SAN PEDRO CALUNGSOD Chapel

I have to say, my friends and I are good in making instant arrangements and sudden road trips. That I realize after we headed to San Pedro Calungsod Chapel on the first day of the month of June, just because we feel like going somewhere.

So the Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod is the first structure in the SM Cebu Seaside Complex, still under construction to this day. The Chapel was a donation from Henry Sy, Sr. and Felicidad Sy, owners of SM malls in the country, to the Archdiocese of Cebu, as a dedication to San Pedro Calungsod - the first Visayan saint.

There are exactly a hundred walls built in different heights, representing the faithful. Inside are children prayer rooms, an adoration chapel, prayer niches, the sacristy, and baptisteries at opposite sides.

If you plan to attend mass in the Chapel, you may refer to this mass schedule from: http://www.mass-schedules.com/catholic-church/996/chapel-of-san-pedro-calungsod.html
